About me
Inspiration
Writing has always been a hobby for Matthew. Something he does to keep his mind sharp or as a skill when communicating professionally. Most of his personal writings are in the form of short stories, poems, or bibliographic narratives. After receiving positive feedback from several published authors along with the support and encouragement of family and friends, Matthew has begun querying agents and publishers.
Most of his life has been surrounded by kids, from being an after school and summer counselor to his current profession as high school teacher. He has learned a lot about writing in his ten plus years as an educator. Many scenarios, ideas, and concepts about his stories have come from interactions with his students and colleagues. Professionally, he has written lesson plans that have been featured as district wide curriculum plans, written for state wide secondary educational programs, and submitted projects to nationally recognized education groups.

As writing helps him express himself like nothing else (except maybe drumming) Matthew enjoys branching out with his writing. The short stories and novels Matthew has written include children's tales, upper middle grade speculative fantasy, young adult and new adult fiction. He is also currently working on helping his father write his memoirs in novel form.
